We’re excited to present a new addition to the gallery – James Makin Gallery Editions. Launching online tomorrow 1 August, Editions offers a rich collection of original works on paper by contemporary and historic Australian printmakers. 2019 Banyule Award for Art on Paper

Anne Starling is a finalist in this award.

The Banyule Award for Works on Paper is awarded biennially to an outstanding contemporary work on paper. 
It will run from 29 August to 19 October 2019 at Hatch Contemporary Arts Space, 14 Ivanhoe Parade, Ivanhoe, VIC

Geelong Print Awards

36 works by 37 leading and emerging Australian artists have been shortlisted for the 2019 Geelong acquisitive print awards.
Showcasing diverse contemporary Australian printmaking practice, the acquisitive awards and biennial exhibition will feature works by:
Alison Alder, Rosalind Atkins, GW Bot, Susanna Castleden, Tony Coleing, Christine Courcier-Jones, Marian Crawford, Phil Day, Marieke Dench, Clive Dickson, Dianne Fogwell, Graham Fransella, David Frazer, Silvi Glattauer, Jackie Gorring, Gracia Haby & Louise Jennison, Rew Hanks, Kyoko Imazu, Locust Jones, Martin King, Barbie Kjar, Steve Lopes, Tim Maguire, Marion Manifold, Jordan Marani, Laith McGregor, Glenn Morgan, Stieg Persson, Brian Robinson, Teho Ropeyarn, Jonas Ropponen, John Ryrie, Heather Shimmen, Ruth Stanton, Anne Starling, and Joel Wolter.
The exhibition of selected prints will be held at the Geelong Gallery from 20 September to 24 November 2019.

Anne’s Print has been shortlisted from 4598 pieces of work for the final selection of 300 for the Guanlan International Print Biennial,  in the China Printmaking Museum, which opened on the 14 May.
She is also one of twelve international artists selected as a finalist for the On Paper, Sala aLfaRa, Oviedo Asturias, Spain, Opening on the 4th of July.       http://www.onpapercontest.com

Six members of Sydney Printmakers are finalists in the Burnie Print Prize 2019: Anna Russell, Gary Shinfield, Carolyn Craig, Rew Hanks, Laura Stark, Anne Starling.

 

 

And Gary Shinfield, Anne Starling and Rew Hanks are finalists in the Haugensund International Festival for Artists Relief Print in Norway.
