International Mini Print Cantabria 2022 Call for Entries

This Award is open to all printmaking disciplines. Digital printed artwork and monotype are accepted.

The general theme is The Sea and the Lighthouses, but this does not imply that the artwork must be figurative. All kinds of aesthetic languages are admitted.

The image and the paper must not exceed 20 x 20 cm. (7,8” x 7,8”).

There is no minimum image or paper size.

Artwork/s must be without mat, frame or glass.You can submit up to 3 artworks 



Deadline for Submissions: July 31, 2022

Deadline for shipping the works: July 31, 2022

Exhibition: From August 31 to December 31, 2022.

Jury´s meeting: The jury will meet once all the registered works have been received.

Jury: Andrea Juan, Eduardo García Escudero, Guillermo Balbona, plus, at least, one guest artist

Awards Ceremony: on a date to be determined once the winners have been chosen.

Waverley Woollahra Art School Printmaking Prize 2022

The Waverley Woollahra Art School Printmaking Prize is open for entries.

Waverley Woollahra Art School invites you to enter our 2022 Printmaking Prize. The Prize is designed to celebrate printmakers and their craft in all its many forms. Digital and traditional printmakers are encouraged to enter.

Prizes include:

  • $1000 – Digital Printmaking Prize
  • $1000 – Traditional Printmaking Prize

Entries open on Friday 3 June 2022 and close Midnight Friday 29 July 2022.

Hornsby Art Prize

HAP17 Winner Printmaking category–Kirtika Kain–Stratum

After a two-year hiatus, the Hornsby Art Prize (HAP) returns in 2022 for its 11th edition. HAP is calling all artists living in Australia. There are 5 categories: Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, Digital art stills, 3D works. All art works must be original, have been produced within the last 2 years (2020 and 2022) and never been exhibited before. The Prize encourages emerging artists residents of Hornsby to enter a dedicated category supporting new careers.

The overall prize pool is $23,000. First prize is $10,000. The exhibition is selected and adjudicated by an appointed panel of 3 judges.

Finalists announced 12 September

Swan Hill Print and Drawing Award 2022

There is still enough time for you to enter this award.

The mission of the 2022 Swan Hill Print and Drawing Acquisitive Awards is to promote excellence in Australian prints and drawings; present an exhibition of contemporary Australian prints and drawings, and continue to build a high quality collection for Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery.

The judges this year are Vanessa Gerrans,Director, Warrnambool Art Gallery and Dr. Thomas A. Middlemost, Art Curator, Charles Sturt University Art Collection.

Entries close 19 June. Finalists announced 15 July and exhibition launch and announcement of winners is 2 September.

Sydney Printmakers at the North Sydney Art Prize

This year’s North Sydney Art Prize is open from the 14th May until the 29th May, every day from 10am to 4pm. The opening and announcement of prize winners is at noon on Saturday the 14th. The works are spread across the extraordinary site, including the chambers and the tunnels.

With five members of Sydney Printmakers accepted as finalists in the North Sydney Art Prize there’s a variety of approaches on offer.

Gary Shinfield has large works on paper, The Burnt Series, in one of the chambers.

Megalo: Relief Online Exhibition

Submissions are open for Relief, our next online exhibition.  This exhibition is open to national and international artists working with relief printmaking techniques and processes such as woodcut, linocut, and wood engraving. Artists can submit one work, per exhibition. Works submitted must have been completed after January 2020 to be considered. Artists will be contacted a week prior to the exhibition commencing to notify them on the outcome of their submission.

Selected works will be exhibited online 1 June – 31 August 2022.

OMNIA Art Prize 2022

General Information

2022 is an exciting year for the St Kevin’s Art Show as we launch our new name, Omnia Art Prize, and increase the major non-acquisitive prize to $15,000.

It’s a positive move for this much-loved art show, helping to cement its position as a premier art award that builds on its long and successful history.

Each year we invite established and emerging Australian artists to submit (through our online application) up to three contemporary works of art. The total prize pool available across three categories is $19,500.

Prize

There are three prizes on offer which are awarded by a guest judge:

  1. Major Prize – $15,000 for most outstanding work in any medium
  2. Brother McCarthy Memorial Award – $3,500 for best work on paper
  3. Audrey Culliver People’s Choice Award – $1,000 for most popular work

Note: Works on paper are eligible to be considered for the Major Prize and the Brother McCarthy Award so artists should not be discouraged from entering smaller works.

Selection notification: 6 May
Artwork delivery: 20-21 May
Gala opening night: 27 May
