EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST Applications close Friday 22 March, 11:59pm. Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery is currently seeking Expressions of Interest for the 2024 Artist-in-Residence program, at Police Point Shire Park. The AiR program is open to visual artists, writers, curators, musicians and researchers to undertake a 2- to 6-week residency to engage with the site and the natural and human history of the area. Through the program, MPRG and the Mornington Peninsula Shire aim to support, exhibit and promote ambitious work.The program aims to be a catalyst for immersion, experimentation, connection, collaboration and discourse between participants and with the public. It is an opportunity to widen and strengthen Mornington Peninsula arts communities, support career development of local and emerging artists, and connect Peninsula communities to artists from further afield.Who should apply:We welcome expressions from emerging, mid-career and established artists, based locally, interstate and internationally, in all visual art forms, as well as performance, dance, music, public art, film/video, literature, scientific and/or social research, interdisciplinary arts, architecture and new media. MPRG National Works on Paper Award 2024
The Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery’s National Works on Paper (NWOP) was established in 1998 and incorporated the former Spring Festival of Drawing and Prints Acquisitive which began in 1973 and 1974.
With a long and rich history, NWOP attracts leading contemporary artists from across Australia working in the fields of drawing, printmaking, digital prints and paper sculpture.
NWOP supports and promotes Australian artists working on or with paper.
Recent winners of the National Works on Paper include Anna Hoyle, Annika Romeyn, James Tylor & Laura Wills, Daniel O’Shane, Jess Johnson, Laith McGregor, Richard Lewer, Danie Mellor, Gareth Sansom, Paul Boston, Lisa Roet and eX de Medici.

National Works on Paper
The Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery’s National Works on Paper was established in 1998 and incorporated the former Spring Festival of Drawing and the Prints Acquisitive which began in 1973.
National Works on Paper is one of Australia’s most prestigious awards and acquisitive exhibitions. A biennial exhibition, its role is to support and promote contemporary Australian artists working on or with paper.
