March 15, 2024 by Anthea Boesenberg Leave a Comment

EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

Applications close Friday 22 March, 11:59pm.

Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery is currently seeking Expressions of Interest for the 2024 Artist-in-Residence program, at Police Point Shire Park. The AiR program is open to visual artists, writers, curators, musicians and researchers to undertake a 2- to 6-week residency to engage with the site and the natural and human history of the area. Through the program, MPRG and the Mornington Peninsula Shire aim to support, exhibit and promote ambitious work. The program aims to be a catalyst for immersion, experimentation, connection, collaboration and discourse between participants and with the public. It is an opportunity to widen and strengthen Mornington Peninsula arts communities, support career development of local and emerging artists, and connect Peninsula communities to artists from further afield.Who should apply:We welcome expressions from emerging, mid-career and established artists, based locally, interstate and internationally, in all visual art forms, as well as performance, dance, music, public art, film/video, literature, scientific and/or social research, interdisciplinary arts, architecture and new media. First Nations, LGBTIQA+, culturally and linguistically diverse and artists with disability are encouraged to apply.
