Danielle’s work, ‘Enfold‘ has been selected as a finalist in the Fisher’s Ghost Art Award 2024.

Blacktown Art Prize Call for Entries

Blacktown City’s annual acquisitive art prize is open to artists across Australia, with a prize pool of over $23,500.

For nearly 30 years, the Blacktown City Art Prize has showcased the creativity of the region and provided emerging and established visual artists the opportunity to exhibit their work.

Finalists in the Blacktown City Art Prize go into the running to win 1 of 5 awards and the opportunity to have their work acquired for the Blacktown City Art Collection.

Emerging and established artists living in Australia are invited to enter work across a diverse range of mediums including painting, drawing, photo media, textiles, mixed media, sculpture, and ceramics.

With a prize pool of $23,500 over 5 prize categories, and an opportunity to be a part of the 2025 exhibition at The Leo Kelly Blacktown Arts Centre, don’t miss out!

Nillumbik Prize for Contemporary Art 2025: Call for Entries

Entries are now open for the Nillumbik Prize for Contemporary Art (NPCA) to artists across Australia, working in any medium.

This biennial competition includes four monetary prizes:

  • Open Prize: $20,000
  • Local Prize: $10,000
  • Mayor’s Award: $500
  • People’s Choice Award: $500

The Open and Local Prize are acquisitive. This means that the winning artworks become part of the Nillumbik Shire Art Collection.

Collie Art Prize 2025

The biennial Collie Art Prize (CAP) has an ongoing theme of IDENTITY.
Interpretation of this theme and how it applies to the Artwork is at the discretion of the Artist.
An Artwork Description (one for each entry) of between 60 to 100 words informing how the IDENTITY theme is
incorporated into the Artwork must be submitted with the Entry form and the Entry/Administration fee.
CAP or their representatives have sole discretion as to whether the justification of IDENTITY is sufficient to allow the
Artwork to be eligible for consideration for the CAP.

Entries open on 7 October 2024 and must be submitted by 5pm (WST), 12 December 2024.

2024 KAAF Art Prize Call for Entries

In reaching another milestone and marking the start of the next decade, we have significantly raised our winning prize to $30,000 this year!

Selected artists will be given the opportunity to exhibit at the modern yet traditionally designed Korean Cultural Centre Gallery in the heart of Sydney. This is in adherence to KAAF’s motive of enhancing Australia’s multiculturalism and to promote networking among artists. It is also a fantastic cross-cultural experience.

2D artworks or 3D wall art in all forms are welcome. Size limits apply.

The Dobell Prize for Drawing: Call for Entries

The biennial Dobell Drawing Prize is Australia’s leading prize for drawing, an unparalleled celebration of technique, innovation and expanded drawing practices. The $30,000 acquisitive prize is presented by the National Art School in partnership with the Sir William Dobell Art Foundation and explores the enduring importance of drawing within contemporary art practice. The winning work will enter the National Art School’s significant collection, built over the past 120 years.

The Dobell Drawing Prize attracts entries from acclaimed artists around the country and explores the enduring importance of drawing within contemporary art practice, in its many different forms and materials. There are no limitations on medium for the Prize – as well as works on paper, entries that present drawing in alternative formats are invited.

Call for entries is now open!

The Basil Sellers Art Prize is an acquisitive biennial award celebrating artistic excellence and supporting creative practitioners. Offering a prize pool of over $30,000 our prize champions 2D artworks in traditional mediums of painting, drawing, and printmaking (unique state).

Finalists from across Australia are eligible for the coveted $25,000 acquisitive award generously supported by Mr. Basil Sellers AM. The Eurobodalla Prize offers $5,000 in recognition of an outstanding local entry.

At the Bas, we recognise the significant investment of time, energy, money, and skill artists pour into art prizes even before their work is selected for exhibition. With this understanding, we are dedicated to making our prize as artist-friendly as possible. We acknowledge that exceptional art knows no boundaries. Artists from any background or region across Australia are encouraged to enter regardless of industry experience or prominence.

Ipswich Art Awards, Call for Entries

The Ipswich Art Awards is a vibrant celebration of the arts, drawing in hundreds of entries from Ipswich and beyond. The Awards stand out for showcasing every entered artwork, making each piece available for purchase — a rare opportunity for art enthusiasts. 2024 marks a special occasion as the exhibition takes place in the month of November for the first time.

Entries will open 9.00 am Thursday 1 August and close 6.00 pm Saturday 31 August 2024.

There are eight entry categories:

  •           Painting: Acrylic and Oil
  •           Painting: Watercolour
  •           Drawing and Pastels
  •           Three Dimensions e.g. sculptures, ceramics
  •           Photography
  •           Print Making (not digital)
  •           Mixed Media
  •           New Media (digital not printed).

There is $16,500 in cash to be won across 10 categories.

Work can only be submitted by an individual over the age of 15 years and must be delivered in person and not via courier, for the full entry guidelines and Terms and Conditions visit the website
