Remote Artist in Residency Calling for Artists

April 3, 2020 by Anthea Boesenberg Leave a Comment

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on Australia’s cultural life – and specifically on artists, many of whom are facing unexpected income loss.

In response to this, and the current environment, The City of Greater Dandenong is offering a remote artist in residency to artists affected by the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Remote Artist in Residency (rAiR) program will offer a paid opportunity for artist/s to develop their artistic practice, from their home or designated studio space. Outcomes from the will contribute to a group exhibition within Heritage Hill Museum and Historic Gardens, alongside a digital exhibition.

Artists working in all mediums are invited to apply, including, but not limited to: visual artists, sculptors, painters, illustrators; writers, musicians or other performance artists, sound and or multimedia artists, video, installation or performance artists, craft or textile artists.

Three artists will be selected. Applications close on Sunday 19 April.
