Gallery Lane Cove ‘In the Shade’ by Sydney Printmakers

This exhibition was first shown at Umbrella Studio in Townsville in 2018. It has now been updated so that our members could include current work, some focusing on environmental issues that are concerning our country. This exhibition also includes the work of new members who have joined our group since 2018.
It will travel to Glasshouse Port Macquarie Regional Gallery

 Sydney’s most accomplished printmaking group

In the Shade II is the second iteration of the original exhibition, first shown at Umbrella Studio in Townsville in 2018. Featuring the breadth of practice and experience of the Sydney Printmakers, it encompasses current work and work by new members, some focusing on environmental issues that are concerning our country.

Saturday 13 June 11am

Print Demonstration with Susan Baran

Susan Baran is a printmaker and educator who specialises in photopolymer (solarplate) printmaking and President of the Sydney Printmakers group. The print demonstration in the gallery will be conducted with a small etching press showing the process of inking up and printing a plate. Samples of her prints and plates will be on view.
