copper etching with chine collé incorporating hand colouring using pure pigment 

Learn traditional etching skills with masterprinter Basil Hall using copper plates and ferric chloride which is a safer, effective way to work.

Gain experience in the techniques of soft ground and hard ground, and experiment with different mark marking, drawing and printing techniques such as chine collé and using pure pigments to add colour to your prints.

Tanya Crothers at Mosman Gallery

Tanya Crothers’ background as an architect has encouraged her to look for views beyond edges and frames, beyond doors and windows. For this work, originating in India and Sri Lanka, she concentrated on connections and street views outside and inside hotel rooms. Combining printmaking with hand colour she manipulated perspective to create variations on original sketches.
