Helen Frankenthaler, Roy Liechtenstein, Joan Mitchell, Robert Motherwell, James Rosenquist and Frank Stella worked with the Tyler Graphics print workshop from 1986-2001 at the mount Kisco premises in New York State.

HELEN FRANKENTHALER Matrices for Madam Butterfly 2000, woodblocks with ink. Frankenthaler produced a preliminary painting on a wood panel. Yasuyuki Shibata (born 1968 Japan, USA since 1991)traced its mark and divided them into separate printing layers. He then carved 46 woodblocks using a variety of woods. Each woodblock was hand-printed with coloured pigment, and repeated 58 times for each print.
