Ros Kean has been selected as a finalist in the 2023 WAMA Art Prize from the National Centre of Environmental Art with this image.

She is also a finalist in the 5th International Printmaking Triennial in Serbia, 2023.

Sydney Printmakers Shortlisted for the Burnie Print Prize

Marta Romer is a finalist in the 2022 Korea Australia Art Foundation (KAAF) Prize. The exhibition opened on Friday 25th  November at The Korean Cultural Centre on Elizabeth Street and closes on 27 January.

Lea Kannar Lichtenberger, Mangrove Series V – Beyond the Light, Drawing, 2022

Lea Kannar Lichtenberger has won the Greenway Art Prize with her work Mangrove Series V – Beyond the Light.

The GreenWay Art Prize celebrates the environment, creativity & community spirit of the Inner West and profiles the work of outstanding new and emerging artists as well as established

She is also a finalist in the Heysen Landscape Prize in SA with another drawing of mangroves, Mangrove Series IV – Into the Light.

Finalists in the Waverley Woollahra Print Prize

Susan Baran and Marta Romer have been selected as finalists in the Waverley Woollahra Print Prize.

Marta has also been selected to exhibit in the Graphica Creativa Triennial Exhibition in Finland at the Jyväskylä Art Museum, 22 October 2022 – 29 January 2023.

Sydney Printmakers at the North Sydney Art Prize

This year’s North Sydney Art Prize is open from the 14th May until the 29th May, every day from 10am to 4pm. The opening and announcement of prize winners is at noon on Saturday the 14th. The works are spread across the extraordinary site, including the chambers and the tunnels.

With five members of Sydney Printmakers accepted as finalists in the North Sydney Art Prize there’s a variety of approaches on offer.

Gary Shinfield has large works on paper, The Burnt Series, in one of the chambers.

Lea Kannar Lichtenberger has an installation, Suffocation of Avarice, in another of the chambers.
